Zanzibar Coffee House

The Zanzibar Coffee House Hotel offers a touch of magic and romance in an authentic Arabic house deep in the heart of Stone Town. It has been transformed into a stylish hotel with harmonious interiors, antiques and fine fabrics and is one of the oldest buildings in Zanzibar, built in 1885 by the Wazir to Sultan Said Bargash.

The most impressive of the 8 individually designed rooms is the Arabica Suite with terracotta décor and low Arabic sofas and the luxurious Bourbon Suite with two adjacent rooms in blue and gold. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature traditional Zanzibar four-poster beds with mosquito nets, rare lamps, antique furniture and many loving details. The adjacent Zanzibar Coffee House Café serves excellent coffee and cake and is very popular with ex-pats. The owners of the hotel also manage several coffee plantations, and coffee beans can be purchased directly in the café.
