Mount Meru Game Lodge
The Mount Meru Game Lodge & Sanctuary is located between the peaks of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro halfway between Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha. The lodge is one of the oldest in Arusha (founded in 1959) and can look back on a long history with illustrious guests (e.g. members of European aristocratic houses). Very suitable for friends of nostalgic memories from the beginning of safari tourism in Tanzania.
All rooms have a veranda with comfortable chairs where guests can observe the animal and bird life. The suites are located in a private garden and are ideal for families and small groups who value privacy. Mount Meru Game Lodge is located in a large garden with giant mango trees and borders a wildlife sanctuary, which is home to ostriches and colobus monkeys, among others.
