Serengeti Sopa Lodge
The Serengeti Sopa Lodge was opened in 1992 and is located in the Nyarboro Hills in the southwest of the Serengeti – one of the few accommodations in this part of the park. The lodge is situated on the slopes of a hill and offers a magnificent view over the endless expanse of the National Park. With 75 rooms and a swimming pool it resembles Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. However, the entire architecture and furnishings are more modern.
The comfortable and large rooms are spread over two floors and have large glass windows and a balcony for a great view. All have a lobby with table, chair and minibar and a bedroom with two double beds with mosquito net, wardrobe and safe. The bathrooms are decorated with light blue mosaic tiles with yellow walls and have a flush toilet, a single sink, spacious shower and hairdryer. The lodge also offers 4 huge deluxe (honeymoon) suites with king-size beds and a bathtub in the bedroom (see photo).
