Maasai Giraffe Eco Lodge
The Maasai Giraffe Campsite and Lodge is the newest lodge in the Lake Natron area. Just a few kilometres from Lake Natron, guests can watch giraffes and zebras every morning as they pass outside the lodge on their way to the lake to drink water – hence the name Maasai Giraffe.
The lodge was founded by a local Maasai and a Belgian woman and was not opened until 2015. The camp currently offers ten rooms with en-suite western style bathrooms with washbasins, toilets and showers with hot water and a private veranda which offers a good view of the camp and the majestic Oldonyo Lengai volcano. The lodge also offers a swimming pool, which is completely chemical-free thanks to a constant supply of fresh water.
