Emerald Bay Resort

The Emerald Bay Resort is located in the valley of the village Chokocho on the island of Pemba in Tanzania. It is located at a natural harbour and in a remote area surrounded by nature.

The resort was built with Arab influence and reminds one of the time when merchants and sailors lived on the island. It consists of 7 spacious self-catering rooms with private veranda with sea view. The lounge bar is the main public area and the terrace offers breathtaking views of Emerald Bay, after which the resort is named. The small and intimate Emerald Bay Hotel is the ideal retreat for couples, honeymooners and travellers who want to enjoy the island and its nature in peace and quiet. The lodge also offers water sports activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and wind and kite surfing.
