Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge

The Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge is situated on a gentle slope near Lake Eyasi and offers a breathtaking view over the seasonal soda lake. All 14 spacious rooms on the extensive grounds are tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. The rooms are divided into 8 cottages (i.e. 2 units per house) and all have a private veranda overlooking the lake.

The main building of the Lodge has a reception, lounge, bar, indoor and outdoor restaurants, souvenir shop and roof terrace. The swimming pool offers a welcome and refreshing break after a long and dusty safari. The accommodation  is part of the Bougainvillea Group of Lodges and offers local Tanzanian hospitality at locations around the northern safari circuit.

In the region of Lake Eyasi, southwest of Ngorongoro, live the Hadza Bushmen, the last survivors of a civilisation that knows nothing about agriculture, cattle breeding, pottery and metals. They live by hunting with bow and arrow and picking wild berries and fruits. They are the last heirs of the Homines Sapientes, who took their first steps here along the Rift Valley some 200,000 years ago.
